The series investigates the psychological relationship to a father that turns his back to the viewer. The father emerged from an old photo of the former King Frederik the ix of Denmark, a loved yet notoriously bad boy of the royal family and father of the current Queen Magrethe.
The image was drawn free-handedly over and over and in this process, the king started to develop character traits. He never ceased to turn his back, though.
